Just think of this as an extension of the classroom

About Me

After graduating from Michigan State University I worked as an intern in Southfield, MI, at Levey Middle School. After that experience I was admitted to a summer fellowship with Chicago Public Schools, living and teaching in the city during the summer of 2005. While in Chicago I was offered a position in Waldorf, MD, at Thomas Stone High School. Although I really enjoyed me experience I found that I missed Michigan a lot, so I was very excited to be offered a job at Waverly Middle School, in Lansing, MI in the summer of 2006. I will be teaching 7th grade history, which will be a change for me, having mostly taught English.

I was born and raised in Metro-Detroit (Canton, MI to be exact). I am a huge supporter of all of the Detroit sports teams, and of course the Spartans of Michigan State.
